During its 1935-’41 occupation of Ethiopia, Fascist Italy,
supported by the Vatican, committed the crime of genocide upon
the Ethiopian people with poisonous gas sprayed from airplanes,
and other horrific atrocities that claimed the lives of no less than
one million Ethiopian people, while the Vatican remained
“conspicuously" and mysteriously silent.” On June 30, 1936,
Emperor Haile Selassie I, the 225th Solomonic King of Kings of
Ethiopia, presented His Eyewitness Account to the 52 members of
League of Nations, the predecessor of the United Nations, who
had gathered in Geneva, Switzerland to hear the Ethiopian cause;
sadly... His Majesty's plea “fell upon deaf ears."... turning to step
down from the podium on that fateful day, His Majesty softly said:
"God and History Will Be the Judge...its us today, but it will be you
tomorrow..
